Recycled Cotton Fabric

An eco-friendly fabric

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops  in the world, but its culture is most of the time chemical-intensive. Following our engagement towards more ecological means of production, Samatoa is supporting the production of recycled cotton fabric using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.

Recycled cotton fabric is most often created using re-purposed manufactured cotton that would otherwise be thrown away. Different processes exist to create this fabric, such as mixing cotton waste with Tencel fiber, or using solvents to transform the wastes into a reusable pulp. The resulting fabric can be eventually recycled, participating in a virtuous ecological cycle.
